ASP World Tour Event #5: Billabong Pro, Jeffreys Bay

7-3-09 :: Brazil just finished today and now it's on to Jbay. It's not official (that I know of) which format will be utilized at this point, so I'm putting up a preview of each. This draw is based on these surfers not showing: Steds, Ace and Kling. When more information is released, I will update the draw.

Welcome all fantasy surfer members

This is a tool I originally made for myself to help pick a team with the least amount of friendly fire as possible. It's pretty straight forward, you predict who will win each heat and you will be shown the next round, with all the surfers seeded according to your heat predictions. This year, the asp has introduced an optional new format that did away with round 3. The top 16 surfers are seeded directly into round 2 and eliminations start in round 1. This just added more speculation to it all, trying to guess which format they will run with. Even though some events have stated they will utilize the old format, in the event there is no swell to work with, they still have the option to go with the new format. For that reason, I will open up both formats for running your heat scenarios prior to each event.

Play as many times as you want to see different outcomes and take note of any patterns in the draw. It's not made to go beyond the round where re-seeding doesn't happen anymore (when you get to round 2 or 3 depending on the format, the draw isn't mixed up by seed anymore.. and if you don't know what that means, this game won't help you anyways).

The game will always be for the current or upcoming event. Heat draws for the next event will be posted as soon as I can get to it. Play Wisely.
